You can’t get a hotel room at an airport with an electronic flight voucher, even if you’re staying in one for a month.
That’s because they’re not allowed in the cabins of international airlines, and they can’t be used for meals, entertainment or to purchase a flight.
However, you can use the voucher at most Canadian airports to get to a hotel.
You’ll need to bring your own suitcase, and you can bring a bag that contains up to 30 per cent of your weight.
To redeem the voucher, you’ll need your boarding pass.
You can find out more about the rules at Canada’s airports.
